Everybody wants to be slim and healthy. Slimness is advertised each minute on TV, on radio, and in a great number of magazines that we read every day. People want to keep up with fashion and therefore use different diets, go to the gym, or go jogging in the morning. The two latter instances are not as common as the first one.
Diets are all around us. There is a whole bunch of them. They all promise a quick weight loss and that is the main point why people are so fond of them. A human is a very lazy species that wants everything at once and very quickly. Usually, people do not feel like going to the gym or at least do some morning exercises. This can be accounted for by the fact that there is no swift visible result possible and if a person has been going in for sport for “the whole week” and does not see any positive changes, then they give it up.
Advertisers use this characteristic of our personality when boosting different diets. They all tell you that you will have lost 10 kg by the end of the first week of the diet, and then 5 more kilograms – by the end of the next one and so on. The only thing which they “forget” to mention (they might consider it being unimportant) is that as soon as you stop dieting you will gain your weight back even more quickly, because eating an egg and a banana and drinking a glass of juice two times a day is all right (at least bearable) if it is for two or three weeks, but one cannot live on it for the rest of their life.
Everything said above has led us to the first point in our testing of a diet. When choosing an appropriate diet keep in mind the simple question: “Will I be able to eat like this for the rest of my life?” If your answer is “yes”, go on reading. If it is “no”, then you should not even bother trying it. The result won’t last long and in the final analysis there will be nothing but disappointment and probably a new diet.
The second question to ask at the verge of going on a diet is: “Does the diet teach me how to eat healthily?” It should actually. If you are provided only with some pills, bars, or shakes and not told how to eat properly, then it is a bad diet, because as soon as you give up taking those substances you will gain weight again. If it gives you full information on what to eat, how many calories a day to take, so that you can continue eating like this after the end of the course, do not hesitate.
Remember one thing: the most difficult part about dieting is not losing weight but preserving it for the rest of your life.
It is realistic to lose weight fast. But if you want to see real success with weight loss, then you must know this weight loss information.
